Despite lockdowns, in 2020 our family attended a small Friday-night worship gathering led by a gentleman who once traveled with the highly prophetic John Paul Jackson. I would often paint during these gatherings, but one evening I felt stuck and  couldn’t “see” anything. Not a single image came to mind that felt uncontrived and of the Spirit. We had a long hallway outside the main room and I was walking up and down it with the worship music playing in the background...waiting and a little baffled at not getting anything. A friend came up and offered to pray. Something shifted and I walked straight back to the easel and completed this image in the remaining 30 minutes! I often touch up my paintings upon returning to the home studio. This one, however, came off the brush complete, born of the Spirit, and without need for further adjustment. 

 

I offered the original painting to a homeless woman who had lost three children to the state and was thinking about aborting her forth. Last I heard, she chose to keep the baby and returned home to live with her mother and family.
